Arriving in Gramado

SBRC 2019 will be hosted in the Master Premium Hotel Event Center, in the city of Gramado, RS. Gramado is located in the state’s northeastern mountainous region, with a latitude of 29º 24’ south, and longitude of 50º 52’ west. Gramado is  located 118 km (73 miles) far from Porto Alegre. Gramado’s average temperature during the symposium’s dates remains between 10ºC and 18ºC (50ºF and 64.4ºF), and it’s time zone is the same as Brasília’s: GMT-3 (no daylight saving). The Salgado Filho International Airport is the largest and most important of the South Region of Brazil. In addition, there are several international flights with direct connections to Salgado Filho Airport, departing from Mercosul cities (e.g., Buenos Aires, Santiago and Lima). From the airport, one will have to take ground transportation to Gramado. Among the available options, the event transfer, buses and app services stand out.

Transport by Bus

The company Citral offers regular bus lines and transfers from Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre, to Gramado. The average ticket price is R$ 55,95, and the transit takes approximately 2h15m. Gramado’s bus station is located just 500 meters (1640 feet) from the conference hotel. Information on ticket sales can be found in the company’s website. 

App Services

It is also possible to make the transit from Salgado Filho Airport to Gramado by relying on app ride services (e.g., Uber). Check prices before requesting the service. Price simulations for the transit ranges from R$ 170,00 to R$ 180,00.

Official Tourism Agency

Brocker Tourism was chosen by SBRC 2019 organization committee as the event’s official tourism agency. The agency is able to provide all the required logistic support with comfort and security for your trip to Gramado.  Through their hotsite , you can hire accomodation services (in the conference hotel and other nearby options), transfer services, as well as tours and recreational activities in the region. Arriving at the Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre, the agency offers two types of transfer services, with advanced purchases, to your hotel in Gramado.

Regular Transfer

A crew member awaits in the airport arrivals, holding a sign with the event’s name, together with other agency passagers. The waiting time upon arrival is limited to 90 minutes (between flights). Return to the airport is scheduled between 5 and 6 hours before the flight’s departure. Price per person: R$ 170,00 with return trip included, or R$ 85,00 for only one of the sections.

Private Transfer

A crew member awaits in the airport arrivals, holding a sign with the event’s name. No waiting time required upon arrival. Transfer reserved for passengers that hired the service, with on-board service included. Return to the airport is scheduled for 4 hours before the flight’s departure. Value with a semi-executive car (Doblô, Zafira, Spin or similar) is R$ 490,00 per section (maximum of 3 people, with luggage). Value with a executive car (Cruze, Corolla, Fluence or similar) is R$ 530,00 per section (maximum of 3 people, with luggage).
