The workshops enrich and complement SBRC by focusing on emerging topics, and enabling the submission and exchange of ideas on ongoing research work, as well as a more in-depth discussion on already consolidated issues in the areas of Computer Networks and Distributed Systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For its thirty-seventh edition, the SBRC organizing committee invites researchers to submit proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the Symposium covering topics of interest to the Computer Network and Distributed Systems community. In addition to the traditional themes, proposals for workshops that address emerging and\/or cross-cutting themes, such as Smart Cities, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and Communication, 5G networks, Artificial, and Computational Intelligence Applied to Network Management, etc. are strongly encouraged and very welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this edition, the workshop proposals should be submitted via JEMS. As in previous years, the workshops may last for a full day or half a day, favoring the most convenient structuring of the workshops according to the topic addressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Instructions for submission of proposals<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proposals for workshops should include the following items:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Title of the workshop.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Name, e-mail and link for the institution of each of the workshop organizers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brief technical description of the workshop, focus, and justification for the subject to be dealt with in the context of an SBRC workshop (max. one page).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Description of the workshop dynamics, including estimates for the number of lectures, panels, tutorials, etc. and\/or the number of articles accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A preliminary list of program committee members (if applicable), which may include a preliminary version of the call for papers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Expected number of participants and duration of the workshop (one full day or half a day).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The infrastructure needed to carry out the workshop.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of a proposal for a new edition of a workshop previously held in SBRC, please include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A brief history of previous editions;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of articles submitted and accepted and the number of participants in the last three editions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evaluation of the proposals will take into account the workshop\u2019s potential to attract participants, produce good results, and address emerging topics that are cross-cutting to the main SBRC track and that are of interest to a substantial portion of the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><b>Important Dates<\/b><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deadline for submission of workshop proposals: October 31st, 2018.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notification of accepted workshops: <del>December 16th, 2018<\/del>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">December 21st, 2018<\/span><\/strong> (postponed)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submission of material to be included in the SBRC proceedings: April 15th, 2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><strong>Instructions to Authors<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proposals must be submitted only electronically, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/jems.sbc.org.br\/home.cgi?c=3183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JEMS system<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Review Committee<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Carlos Ferraz &#8211;
